It's characterized by rocky soil and extreme temperatures. There, at 1,200 meters above sea level, the organically managed vineyards cling to the steep slopes of the Andes.
Maturing more slowly in the cool climate of the Uco Valley, the mountain fruits give rise to a delightfully intense, spicy, and structured Terrazas de los Andes Malbec.

Dark purple-black in color, with a dense aromatic profile.
On the palate, however, it's very deep and pure: with nuances of black plums, rose petals, and tea leaves. This perfumed purity is on its own a remarkable testament to the terroir's potential.
Add the fine-textured tannins, fruity acidity, the sense of stony finesse engraved in the wine, and its persistent finish, and you'll see something extraordinary emerging here.
These weren't the only awards the Argentine wine industry received. Recently, the Catena Zapata winery was named the best winery in the world to visit.
